Kurinjimala Sanctuary is protecting the endangered Neelakurinji Plant in Kttakamboor and Vattavada villages in Devikulam Taluk in Idukki district of Kerala. It is spread over an area of 32 km2 . It is declared Sanctuary by Kerala Forest Minister Benoy Vishwam on October 7, 2006. Bloom of flowers attract thousands of tourists in Munnar and other places. The Endangering species live here includes Elephants, Gam, Nilgiri Tahr and Deer.
Kurinjimala Sanctuary is alongwith Chinnar Wildlife Sanctaury to the northwest, Indira Gandhi Wildlife Sanctuary to the northeast, Eravikulam National Park and Anamudi Shola National Park to the west, Pampadum Shola Park to the South and the Palani Hills National Park to the east.
